Soul Cards - The Black Set

There are 29 of them. Why only 29? Not enough for a month, yet too many for 4 weeks… it seems like madness! But 29 is perfect. Because life doesn’t belong in a calculated box set. Our personal needs don’t sit nicely in perfectly numbered groups, waiting to be called on in pairs or singles or even threes to step forward into vulnerability to be exposed to a critical world. 29 breaks the rules and says “Whatever… take one or take us all! The deck is yours, and how you choose to use it is entirely up to you!

The only advice in play here is:

Shuffle if you wish, or go numerically, whatever feels right for you. Be calm if you can (or at least be calm enough to breathe one deep breath in and out prior to drawing the first card). Then read it. Really read it and think about it. Don’t just discard it if it doesn’t suit your mood – it was your first intuitive pick… so read it again. Then take another card, and another (and another if you need to) until the pattern of the words begin to make sense and the space in your solar plexus begins to quieten.

Perhaps you will begin to hear your Self say “Ok. I’ve got some work to do…but I can do it. And I will Trust myself to begin to unravel myself enough to find the place where the healing can begin. And then, begin.
